The standard Aluminum hardcoated framework is 2mm, meaning that your  2.5mm will flex less which could make the SDX4 less aggressive and several other items direct to work a car specifically on greater traction tracks. The considerable maching could well keep the additional fat as a result of comparable values as the 2mm one !
