Mameluks wore Turkish costumes and kept them despite having they passed in French solution. Enlisted in to the Imperial Guard cavalry, they were unmistakably familiar the form of their uniforms, the cahouk with turban and curved blades for the Mameluke sabres. History recalls their price from the Tzar's Guard Cavalry at Austerlitz.
