Throughout the 1989 Geneva motor Show, the 500SL was in fact revealed as Mercedes' top-of-the-line covertible tasks car. While quite potent in stock kind, AMG took the automobile even more with original corrections like increasing the motor displacement from 5 liters to 6 liters for a 381hp production. Aerodynamic improvements like front side bumper, part skirts and straight back spoiler, and a strengthened suspension system system offered the car a customized feel.
