The Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank could be the current MBT related to British Army and represents the culmination of 80 years of tank design. Its development began in 1986. In 1987, the appearance completed up being presented towards Ministry of Defence providing a remedy to a requirement to alter the Chieftain MBT of partially superseded by the Challenger 1 MBT. Production started in 1993, so the tank finally joined up with up with solution in 2002. This tank recently starred in Iraq, in which it proved indispensable through the battle of Basra.
