During WWII, anti-tank rifles were utilized by Russian infantry to counter German tanks. A definite rifle was at reality the "ProtivoTankovoye Ruzhyo Degtyaryova" otherwise named "PTRD". The solitary shot PTRD fired a 14.5mm shell and had a simple yet effective range as much as 800m. PTRD groups usually hid amongst destroyed buildings waiting to knock straight down its next target.
