Pendulum knuckle for SCX10 setups

This pendulum-style wheel knuckle adds a compact axle weight designed to keep mass low on Axial SCX10 crawl rigs, improving contact patch and traction when climbing angled terrain. The weight is narrower at the top and flares out toward the bottom so the centre of mass remains downward as the vehicle leans.

A central bearing paired with a Delrin collar allows the weight to swing freely, and the kit includes a 31mm hex adapter for wider wheel back-spacing. Manufacturer notes: each pendulum is 82 grams, the 31mm hex is 25mm wider than stock, wheels require a 45mm inner diameter, and a 5mm threaded hole in the wheel is necessary for the fasteners.

Use the kit to tune slow-speed stability and traction on technical lines; combine tyre choice, wheel offset and suspension droop adjustments with the pendulum to optimise performance for local terrain.

For fine-tuning axle-end weight on Axial SCX10 vehicles, this pendulum kit moves mass low to boost tyre adherence on steep obstacles; ensure wheel bore and thread specs match before installation.

If your wheel lacks a 45mm inner bore or a 5mm threaded hole you will need wheels that meet those specs; avoid the adapter on incompatible wheels.
At low speed you may notice increased front or rear traction depending on fitment, but it is intended for better grip on angled obstacles rather than improving straight-line speed.
Each pendulum is listed at 82 grams. Combine this with your wheel and tyre selection when calculating unsprung mass effects.
Start with moderate tyre compound and check wheel offset so the tyre runs centered; then test small changes to spring preload and droop to complement the pendulum behaviour.
