Striking "the Soft Underbelly"
Prior to the massive intrusion at Normandy, the Allies first set base on European soil in their intrusion of Italy, famously grasped by Winston Churchill as area of countries in europe's "the soft underbelly." Sherman tanks within cinema of operations frequently had their standard basic olive drab paint scheme overlaid with sand generate a two-tone camouflage pattern a lot better on Mediterranean environment. This beautifully completed display model features a tank owned by C company of 756th Battalion combat within the Italian front in February of 1944.
