The Sturmgeschutz III Ausf.G served as a versatile German assault gun in WWII, using a Panzer III chassis with a low-profile, fixed casemate aimed at infantry support. The early G variant documented here shows the vehicle before later field upgrades and is modelled at 1/35 scale to preserve its battlefield silhouette.
Introduced in late 1942, the Ausf.G typically carried the 75mm L/48 gun and featured upgrades like the square mantlet and the commander's cupola. Many examples later carried MG42 machine guns and Schurzen side skirts; this kit focuses on the early G configuration and its combat role.
With over 220 parts, the kit reproduces fine external detail including towing gear, shovels and smoke dischargers. The parts allow for optional hatch positions and include two crew figures to give builders flexibility in presentation.
