Optimised pistons for tuned suspension response

The XRAY 358031 Delrin 2-Way Flow Shock Pistons are aimed at enthusiasts who need fine shock control. This set features pistons drilled with eight 1.3mm ports and two 1.2mm ports to manage oil passage on both takeoff and touchdown.

Controlled flow on compression and rebound

Designed to behave differently on up and down movement, the pistons use a small rubber valve to block two ports during upward travel while allowing all ten ports to open on downward motion. That gives a softer, more controlled landing without compromising rebound grip.

Durable Delrin construction for reliable action

Made from a high-grade Delrin composite, the pistons are precision moulded to ensure uniform roundness and smooth travel inside the shock cylinder. This consistency produces matched shock performance front to rear.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Because all ports open on downward motion, the pistons allow increased oil flow on impact, which helps absorb energy and reduce harsh rebound when landing from jumps.
They suit many common shock designs, but you should confirm bore diameter and spacer requirements. Some shocks may need a different piston diameter or additional shims for perfect fitment.
Keep shocks clean and replace seals and the rubber valve when they show signs of wear. Regular oil changes and visual checks keep piston action consistent lap after lap.
Yes, the combination of 1.3mm and 1.2mm holes offers a balance between flow and resistance. This gives tuners more granularity when selecting oil and spring rates for specific track conditions.
